Overview

SurfacePro (“we”, “our”, “the app”) is a surface measurement tool for iOS. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Camera Access

  • Purpose: Used solely for ARKit augmented reality surface measurement
  • Storage: Camera feed is processed in real-time on your device. We do not record, transmit, or store video footage
  • Optional screenshots: If you enable “Capture Screenshot on Save” in Settings, a single screenshot is saved locally on your device with each measurement

Location Data

  • Purpose: Used in GPS measurement mode to place polygon corners at real-world coordinates, and optionally to tag AR measurements with a location for easier retrieval
  • Storage: Location coordinates are stored locally on your device as part of saved measurements
  • Control: You can disable location tagging for AR measurements in Settings > “Attach Location to Measurements”. GPS mode requires location access to function
  • Transmission: Location data is never transmitted to our servers or any third party

Motion & Sensor Data

  • Purpose: Used by ARKit for accurate surface tracking and altitude measurement
  • Storage: Processed in real-time on your device. Not stored or transmitted

Measurement Data

  • Purpose: Your saved measurements (surface areas, perimeters, polygon points, annotations)
  • Storage: Stored locally on your device using SwiftData. We do not have access to your measurements
  • Export: You may choose to export measurements as PDF, KML, or GPX files. These files are created locally and shared only through your explicit action

Purchase & Payment Data

  • Processing: The one-time in-app purchase to unlock Pro features is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information
  • Third-party service: We use RevenueCat to verify your purchase status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID to confirm your entitlement. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or personal information from our app

Data We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
  • We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs
  • We do not serve advertisements
  • We do not transmit your measurements, photos, or location data to any server
  • We do not create user accounts

Data Storage & Security

All app data (measurements, settings, screenshots) is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store your data. If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently removed.

Children's Privacy

SurfacePro does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app does not require personal information to function.

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:

  • Access: View all saved measurements in the app
  • Delete: Delete individual measurements or remove the app to delete all data
  • Export: Export your data as PDF, KML, or GPX at any time (Pro feature)

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above and in app updates.
